Position Summary
The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care while managing acute and chronic medical conditions, preventive care, and HIV prevention and treatment in a collaborative outpatient environment.
This position is ideal for an experienced provider who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine, building long-term patient relationships, and caring for a diverse patient population. Our providers have the opportunity to deliver thoughtful, evidence-based care while working closely with a collaborative clinical team in a growing nonprofit healthcare organization.

What You’ll Do
Comprehensive Primary Care
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform annual wellness visits and comprehensive new patient evaluations.
- Manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, thyroid disorders, asthma, COPD, and more.
- Provide preventive care and health maintenance.
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing.
- Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and long-term wellness.
HIV & Sexual Health
- Manage patients living with HIV.
- Prescribe and manage antiretroviral therapy.
- Initiate and manage PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP.
- Diagnose and treat sexually transmitted infections.
- Provide HIV prevention counseling and risk-reduction education.
Specialized Services
- Weight management
- Hormone therapy
- IV wellness services
- High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA)
- Anal dysplasia screening
- Anal manometry
- Office procedures
- Aesthetic medicine (optional based on interest and training)

Clinical Leadership
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff.

Required Qualifications
- Current Florida APRN license.
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC).
- Minimum 3 years of recent outpatient primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience providing HIV care or prescribing PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP.
- Experience using Athena EHR.
- AAHIVS certification or interest in obtaining certification (reimbursement provided).
- ACLS certification.
- Portuguese language skills.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- No routine evenings or call.
- Occasional Saturday clinic availability as the practice expands.
