General Maintenance Technician, Handyman Services, & Furniture Repair
Duties:
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing furniture, equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
- Evaluate furniture repairs and action needed to satisfy our customers.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Fabricate and install various components as needed.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments or contractors to ensure smooth operations and resolve maintenance issues.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in general maintenance tasks specifically, electrical, carpentry, and furniture repair.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers or tenants in a professional and customer service-oriented manner.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
