Description
The Role - As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into various classrooms to ensure that students continue to receive quality education in the absence of their regular teachers. You will be responsible for implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
What You'll Do - Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education. - Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. - Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation. - Provide feedback to students on their performance and behavior. - Communicate effectively with school staff and administration regarding any issues or concerns. - Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs of students. - Uphold school policies and procedures while creating a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere. - ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
What We're Looking For - At a minimum, an Associate's degree (any field); teaching certification preferred but not required or WORKKEYS passing score - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively. - Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments and subjects. - Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. -
Nice to Have - Previous experience in a teaching or educational role. - Familiarity with diverse learning needs and strategies. - Ability to build rapport with students quickly. - Skills in classroom management techniques.
