The position is located in the Stockton area in client homes.
MUST HAVE A RBT OR BACHELORS TO QUALIFY
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one behavioral therapy to children with special needs, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies as directed by the supervising behavior analyst.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior to inform treatment planning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment goals.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior support plans.
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social skills, communication skills, and daily living skills.
- Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers on implementing behavioral strategies at home.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly in the field of behavioral therapy.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and behavior tracking tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and other professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with special needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Physical Requirements:
● Utilize stairs when applicable within the home or community
● Lift 50 pounds and move up to 25 pounds
● Sit and stand from the floor multiple times per day and sit on the floor for extending periods of time (e.g., 3 hours)
● React quickly and run when a child is eloping
● Work within homes that have animals
● Drive in-between client homes
