Project Engineer:W-Industries is an energy service company that specializes in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation and Packaged Equipment for the Energy and Industrial markets. Our expertise encompasses the full spectrum of system technologies from pneumatic - hydraulic control systems to state-of-the-art programmable solutions to chemical injection systems, and everything in-between.
As a Project Engineer you will work with a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and design drafters who support the development of Switchgears, Motor Control Centers and Electrical Equipment Centers. It involves collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and other functional teams to fully support the business team culture and goals.
Requirements
- Assures projects are completed in accordance with industry standards, client requirements and company objectives.
- Have the ability to read and understand the specifications of each job and incorporate into drawings.
- Have the ability to utilize computer drawing program(AutoCAD), data base program and spreadsheet program to complete all documentation.
- Work with Mechanical and Electrical Designers.
- Work with customer to assure project end results are satisfactory.
- Work with the manufacturing shop to resolve any questions regarding project.
- Supply professional and quality drawings to customers and shop personnel.
- Assist Electrical/Mechanical Designer in the completion of a quality project package.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of electrical codes & standards like NEC, IEC, ANSI, IEEE etc.
- Read and understand engineering drawings (skid layouts, building elevations, bussing details, Single line diagrams, three line diagrams, elementries, etc.)
- Read and understand quality documents (procedures, checklist, etc.)
- Knowledge of all electrical design of switchgear & Motor Control.
- Knowledge of all electrical interface details of EEC equipment as per specifications.
- Communicate clearly with manufacturing personnels and customers.
- Read and understand job status reports.
- Read and understand job schedules.
- Provide technical support to project group.
Required Experience & Education
- 5+ years of Project Engineer experience, preferably within Industrial Manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- General knowledge of ANSI, NEMA and IEC standards.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
- Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
