Description

Reporting Structure


Supervises: Volunteers, Canvassers and Fellows occasionally 


Collaborates with: Partners, Community Stakeholders, Program Facilitators, Community Members


The coordinator plays a central role in connecting IWC’s programs with the broader community by building relationships, managing logistics, and supporting outreach strategies.


Key Responsibilities

Event & Program Support

  • Plan and execute community and partner events, including logistics, vendor coordination, scheduling, and volunteer support.


  • Support program facilitation through co-facilitation of workshops, community meetings, and outreach activities.


  • Document and close out weekly meetings with clear follow-ups and action items.


 Outreach & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, community members, and stakeholders.


  • Conduct consistent outreach to increase visibility and engagement for IWC programs.


  • Support strategic outreach campaigns that align with organizational goals.


  • Maintain communication and regular check-ins with partners to sustain long-term collaborations.


Communications & Design

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create and share content that promotes events and initiatives.


  • Design and develop digital and print materials (e.g., flyers, graphics, event collateral).


  • Manage and schedule social media content to support outreach and community engagement goals.


Canvassing & Reporting

  • Coordinate canvassing efforts, including training volunteers and collecting outreach data.


  • Track and report on canvassing metrics and community engagement outcomes.


  • Support data collection and reporting needs for programs and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications (Required)


  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, outreach, communications, or related work.


  • Strong organizational and project management skills.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse communities.


  • Proficiency with Canva or other basic design tools, and Google Suite.


  • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).


  • Comfort with public speaking and co-facilitation.


  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events.


  • Commitment to IWC’s mission, values, and community-centered approach.


Preferred (Not Required)


  • Bilingual or multilingual skills


  • Experience with canvassing, grassroots outreach, or volunteer coordination


  • Familiarity with data collection and reporting tools


  • Prior work in nonprofit, advocacy, or social impact settings


  • Cultural humility and commitment to equity and inclusion

$55,000 - $60,000 per year
