Inner Circle Mental Health | Norman, Oklahoma
Part-Time | Opportunity to Grow | In-Person Preferred
Inner Circle Mental Health is expanding our couples and relationship counseling services and is looking for a therapist who genuinely enjoys working with couples.
We are looking for someone who can help couples navigate conflict, communication breakdowns, trust concerns, major life transitions, intimacy concerns, parenting stress, and the impact that demanding careers can have on relationships.
This is an opportunity to build a strong couples caseload within an established practice while still having the flexibility to see individual clients if desired.
Inner Circle Mental Health is an outpatient mental health practice in Norman, Oklahoma. We work with adults, couples, first responders, veterans, healthcare professionals, and members of the broader community.
Our practice places a strong emphasis on practical, evidence-informed care and creating an environment where people who may not traditionally seek therapy feel comfortable walking through the door.
For couples in particular, we want therapy to be useful, direct, and focused on helping partners better understand each other and develop healthier ways of communicating and functioning together.
The Couples & Relationship Therapist will primarily provide outpatient psychotherapy to couples experiencing a range of relationship concerns.
Responsibilities include:
Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Prepare/Enrich, Discernment Counseling, or another evidence-based couples therapy model is highly desirable but not required.
Applicants must be eligible to provide behavioral health services in Oklahoma.
We welcome:
A master's degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field is required.
Experience providing couples therapy is strongly preferred. Candidates who have primarily worked with individuals but have specific training and a strong interest in developing a couples specialty are also encouraged to apply.
This position can begin part-time and grow as the clinician's caseload develops.
Evening availability is strongly preferred, as couples frequently request appointments after traditional work hours.
We are particularly interested in clinicians who can consistently maintain their agreed-upon schedule and build toward a stable recurring caseload.
This is a revenue-based clinical position, with compensation tied to completed client services rather than simply scheduled hours.
Final compensation will depend on licensure, experience, payer mix, and employment structure and will be discussed during the interview process.
Inner Circle provides the infrastructure necessary to build and maintain a caseload, including:
The right clinician for this position is comfortable sitting in the room with two people who may strongly disagree with each other without immediately taking sides.
You should be able to identify patterns underneath the argument, slow conflict down, create psychological safety, and help both partners participate in meaningful change.
We value clinicians who are:
Most importantly, we want someone who actually likes couples therapy.
If helping two people understand each other better sounds more interesting to you than intimidating, we would like to hear from you.
