About Inner Circle

Inner Circle Institute helps organizations strengthen their people, leadership, and workplace culture. We work with departments, nonprofits, government offices, and other organizations to understand workforce challenges and develop practical ways to address them.

Our work extends beyond a single training. We help organizations identify what needs attention, develop leaders and teams, implement meaningful changes, and evaluate progress.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a relationship-driven representative who can connect organizational decision-makers with ICI’s services. You will generate leads, learn about prospective clients’ needs, and guide opportunities from an initial conversation through a signed agreement.

A primary focus is selling environmental scans—an assessment of workplace strengths, pressure points, and culture that helps leadership understand how to better support its people. These scans can provide a starting point for ongoing training, leadership development, and organizational support.

You will also pursue opportunities for:

  • Trauma-informed leadership development: Workshops, supervisor training series, leadership consultation, and customized organizational cohorts.
  • Individual trainings and workforce development: Focused learning experiences that strengthen communication, connection, and employees’ ability to navigate demanding work.
  • Organizational and workforce resilience services: Support addressing team cohesion, workforce well-being, and the systems that help people work sustainably.
  • Ongoing organizational partnerships: Customized engagements that may combine assessment, training, consultation, implementation assistance, and evaluation over six or twelve months.

Your role is to understand the buyer’s needs and help connect them with the right engagement. ICI’s team develops the service scope, conducts assessments, and delivers the work.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and connect with potential clients, including public-safety departments, nonprofits, government offices, and other organizations.
  • Generate leads through outreach, networking, referrals, and relationship building.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand organizational challenges, priorities, budgets, and purchasing processes.
  • Explain ICI’s services clearly and connect their value to the organization’s goals.
  • Identify opportunities for both focused services and ongoing partnerships.
  • Collaborate with ICI leadership on customized proposals, pricing, and service scope.
  • Follow up consistently, address questions, and guide opportunities through signed agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, conversations, proposals, and next steps.
  • Participate in a mutually scheduled weekly check-in to discuss opportunities and coordination needs.
  • Coordinate a clear handoff to the ICI team after a sale.

Required Qualifications

  • Current or former first-responder experience in law enforcement, fire service, EMS, or 911 dispatch/communications, or military veteran experience.
  • Based in Oklahoma.
  • Strong relationship-building, listening, and communication skills.
  • Confidence initiating conversations with organizational leaders and asking for their business.
  • Ability to work independently, manage follow-up, and maintain organized sales records.
  • Ability to understand an organization’s needs and explain how relevant services may help.
  • Commitment to representing ICI’s services accurately, professionally, and respectfully.
  • Reliable access to a computer, phone, and internet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, recruiting, or organizational partnerships.
  • Established relationships with departments, nonprofits, government offices, or professional associations.
  • Experience as a training officer, instructor, supervisor, peer-support coordinator, or organizational leader.
  • Familiarity with organizational purchasing processes, proposals, and service contracts.
  • Experience selling training, consulting, professional development, or other organizational services.

Sales experience is preferred but not required. We value relevant experience, initiative, credibility, and consistent follow-through.

Compensation

This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity offering 20% of eligible collected service revenue, excluding travel charges and reimbursements. There is no base salary, guaranteed income, or employee benefits.

Contract sizes vary based on each organization’s needs. Opportunities include environmental scans, individual trainings, leadership development series, and ongoing organizational partnerships. Earnings depend on the scope and volume of contracts secured and payments collected.

Commission eligibility, sales attribution, payment timing, cancellations, and terms for ongoing contracts and renewals will be defined in the written contractor agreement.

Work Arrangement

This opportunity is fully remote with a flexible, self-directed schedule and a mutually scheduled weekly check-in. You will generate your own leads, while ICI provides service information, approved pricing, proposal support, and guidance on organizational priorities.

This is a sales and partnership-development role. You will not be responsible for conducting environmental scans or delivering trainings.

How to Apply

Apply through this posting with your résumé and a brief introduction describing your first-responder or military experience, relevant relationships, and interest in helping organizations better support their people. Please include any sales, outreach, or partnership-building experience.
