Bilingual Immigration Attorney (Spanish/English) — Remote & Hybrid | Diaspora Law / InmigracionOK
Location: New York, NJ, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Charlotte, Washington DC (DMV), Boston — remote flexibility available
Practice Area: Immigration Law | Removal Defense | EOIR | USCIS
About the Role
Diaspora Law / InmigracionOK, an established New Jersey-based immigration law firm with a national practice, is hiring bilingual (Spanish/English) immigration attorneys who want to do meaningful litigation work — not just fill out forms. You'll represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court (EOIR) and in matters before USCIS, with real courtroom experience from day one.
Recent law school graduates awaiting bar results are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Represent clients in immigration court hearings and USCIS interviews (in person and remote)
- Conduct client interviews, develop case strategy, and prepare clients for hearings
- Draft briefs, applications, appeals, and motions at the trial and appellate levels — including Motions to Reopen, Motions to Continue, and Motions to Change Venue
- Build cases through respondent interviews, evidence review, and expert opinions
- Advise clients on outcomes and next-step strategy after each hearing
- Collaborate with a dedicated bilingual support team that handles case processing, so you can focus on lawyering
- Maintain strong client relationships in a fast-evolving area of law
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (additional languages a plus)
- Admission to any state bar and EOIR registration — graduates awaiting bar results welcome
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Self-starter who works independently and treats clients with respect and dignity
Preferred:
- 1+ years of immigration law experience (removal defense, asylum, family-based, humanitarian relief)
- Experience with Family Court predicate orders (SIJS)
- Availability to travel for hearings
- Based in or near: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Charlotte, Chicago, DC/DMV, New York, or Boston
Why Diaspora Law
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Immediate courtroom and litigation experience — appear in court, not just behind a desk
- Mentorship and clear professional growth path
- Supportive, inclusive, mission-driven team serving immigrant communities nationwide
