The Global Institute for Professional Development (GIPD) is seeking an accomplished visionary leader to guide the continued growth, development, and impact of its professional development portfolio. The Vice President/Dean will provide strategic and operational leadership for GIPD, ensuring that its programs remain aligned with organizational priorities, responsive to stakeholder needs, and consistently deliver a highquality participant experience — overseeing and evolving established academies, while advancing new initiatives that expand GIPD's offerings, relevance, delivery models, and impact. Reporting into ITSMF's executive leadership and working closely with program directors, facilitators, and external partners, the VP/Dean will connect strategy with execution: strengthening curriculum and program quality, developing meaningful measures of success, managing financial performance, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and ensuring GIPD has the people, systems, and resources necessary to deliver on its priorities. ITSMF is headquartered in Atlanta, GA. This role is fully remote.
For nearly 30 years, the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) has been the nation's premier organization dedicated to cultivating executive talent for tomorrow's technology leaders.
Founded in 1996 after a group of prominent technology executives recognized a significant gap in representation at senior IT management levels, ITSMF was built to reach, teach, and nurture the next generation of technology leadership. What began as a bold response to that opportunity has grown into a national movement — a place members proudly call “family.”
Today, ITSMF's members span accomplished mid-level professionals, senior executives, CIOs, and business leaders from Fortune 1000 companies, the public sector, nonprofits, and academia, alongside owners of established technology businesses. GIPD is the engine behind that growth — delivering the Academies, Symposium Programming, and mentoring programs that develop and nurture dynamic leaders in mind, body, and soul.
A forward-thinking executive who can translate organizational priorities into a clear strategy for professional development — assessing stakeholder needs, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation, and guiding the continued evolution of GIPD's programs with sound judgment and the ability to turn ideas into actionable plans.
Substantial experience in executive education, leadership development, learning and development, talent development, or a related field, with the ability to design, deliver, evaluate, and continuously improve high-quality experiences that stay relevant to participant needs.
Experience overseeing multiple academies, programs, and emerging initiatives simultaneously — ensuring programs are effectively planned, coordinated, delivered, and evaluated while strengthening the systems and processes that support ITSMF's work.
The business and financial acumen necessary to manage the GIPD budget and support a sustainable program model, with the judgment to evaluate program performance and identify new revenue opportunities.
A credible, executive-presence leader who builds trust with senior leaders, Board members, corporate partners, and program participants, while supervising, developing, and supporting the GIPD team with clear expectations and meaningful feedback.
Someone who stays informed on developments in leadership, professional development, technology, and innovation, and who can translate ideas for different audiences through presentations, executive briefings, and content — strengthening GIPD's visibility and credibility.
This is a remote position with periodic in-person meetings and overnight travel; approximately 30% travel annually is anticipated.
ITSMF offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and a 401(k) with employer match, along with professional development and growth opportunities.
