Testing Work:

• Collaborate with development teams to understand updates and changes in applications.
• Define and document a comprehensive testing strategy tailored to specific application updates.
• Create and maintain detailed test cases, scenarios, and success criteria.
• Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless interactions between application components and infrastructure.
• Execute functional testing, validating end-to-end functionality, and simulating user experiences.
• Identify, document, and report defects with detailed reproduction steps.
• Conduct regression testing to confirm that updates do not introduce new defects and maintain backward compatibility.
• Assess application responsiveness and performance, identifying potential bottlenecks.
• Validate security controls and authentication mechanisms, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending fixes.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and functionality of updated applications.
• Develop and present detailed test reports summarizing findings and providing improvement recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and validate the migration process from .NET 6 to .NET 8+.
• Ensure application quality and stability through rigorous testing.
• Collaborate effectively in a SCRUM environment.
• Utilize Kanban tools to track and manage testing progress.
• Conduct API testing using Postman to verify functionality.
• Execute and load scripts in HPALM for both automated and manual testing.
• Work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD workflows.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of experience programming and developing test scripts for web applications.
• 5+ years of experience using automated testing tools.
• Proficient in application testing in non-automated environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer/Tester in a software development environment (10+ years).
• Experience in .NET application testing and migration processes.
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with SCRUM methodology and Kanban tools.
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.
• Proficiency with HPALM for test management and execution.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD workflows.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with automated testing tools/platforms like Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, or Microfocus ALM.
• Proficiency in application security tools such as WebInspect.
• Experience in building and implementing new automated testing solutions.
• Strong understanding of functional and technical specification development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools.

Communication Proficiency:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
