Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Training Manager / Training & Instructional Design Specialist to support enterprise technology modernization and software implementation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in training program management, curriculum development, instructional design, ERP systems, business process transformation, and enterprise software implementations. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that improve workforce readiness and support successful technology adoption.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional training experience, including curriculum development for IT and instructional technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• 2+ years of training management experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, business process transformation, and enterprise software implementations.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks.
• Experience supporting large-scale private-sector, public-sector, or government technology modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, technical writing, and training program management.
• Experience developing job aids, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), videos, and multimedia learning materials.
• Advanced curriculum development and instructional design capabilities.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences ranging from executive leadership to technical teams and end users.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage assignments from planning through successful completion.
• Demonstrated experience leading training initiatives.
• Ability to identify training gaps and develop solutions that improve workforce readiness.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and build positive working relationships.
• Ability to keep stakeholders appropriately informed throughout training initiatives.
• Must be able to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience using SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
• Experience working with Accounting/Finance functional teams to gather, communicate, and clarify customer requirements.
• Experience working under the direction of senior-level management.
• Experience working with State of Florida or similarly large government organizations.
• Knowledge and/or experience with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) subsystem.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting practices.
• Knowledge and experience with the Florida PALM project.
• Knowledge of State of Florida financial, accounting, budgeting, procurement, or grants management processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale financial system implementations or modernization programs.
• Strong ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Experience developing enterprise training strategies, learning plans, and implementation materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage training initiatives supporting enterprise technology implementations and modernization programs.
• Develop comprehensive training strategies, curricula, learning paths, and delivery plans.
• Conduct training needs assessments and identify knowledge and skill gaps.
• Design instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and multimedia learning experiences.
• Develop training materials, including:
• Instructor guides
• Student guides
• Job aids
• Quick Reference Guides
• Process documentation
• Training presentations
• Videos and multimedia content
• eLearning modules
• Apply instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or comparable frameworks.
• Work closely with business, functional, technical, and project teams to understand system changes and translate them into effective training.
• Support ERP and enterprise software implementations through training and organizational readiness activities.
• Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, training sessions, and knowledge-transfer activities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure training content accurately reflects business processes and system functionality.
• Track training deliverables, schedules, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Support user adoption and workforce readiness during system implementation and rollout.
• Maintain training documentation and learning materials using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.

• Prosci Change Management
• Other relevant training, instructional design, project management, or change management certifications.
