Scope of Work

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Consultant to join our team and provide expertise in testing web applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manual and automated testing, along with strong collaboration and troubleshooting skills.

Required Experience

• 10 years of experience in developing and utilizing test scripts for web applications.
• 5 years of experience with automated testing tools and platforms.
• Hands-on experience conducting application testing without automation.
• Familiarity with Kanban, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with business analysts and developers.

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Expertise in building and running test cases using tools like Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, and Microfocus ALM.
• Experience with application development security tools such as WebInspect.
• Experience in implementing new automated testing platforms.
• Strong skills in planning, organizing, and documenting IT solutions and work assignments.
• Experience in API testing and working in project-oriented environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, self-direct, and prioritize.
• Experience developing functional and technical specifications, design flows, and system blueprints.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or a related field.

Duties and Responsibilities

Testing Work:

• Collaborate with development teams to understand the scope of updates.
• Define and document comprehensive testing strategies tailored to specific application changes.
• Create and maintain detailed test cases, results, and documentation of any deviations.
• Identify test scenarios, success criteria, and relevant test data.
• Perform integration testing to ensure smooth interaction between application components.
• Conduct functional testing to validate end-to-end functionality, including negative testing.
• Execute tests, report defects, and provide detailed instructions for issue reproduction.
• Re-run test cases to confirm resolution and validate backward compatibility.
• Assess application responsiveness, performance, and bottlenecks.
• Validate security controls, authentication mechanisms, and authorization rules, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements.
• Ensure compatibility across browsers and seamless user experience.
• Develop detailed test reports, summarize findings, and recommend application improvements.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to troubleshoot, research, and recommend viable solutions.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills to support IT assignments.
