Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

infineo is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure and internal tooling that power our fintech platform. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Platform Services, this role blends platform engineering with hands-on DevOps work — owning CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and reliability across our production environments, while partnering closely with software engineering, security, and compliance teams to keep our systems secure, scalable, and audit-ready in a highly regulated financial services environment.

The ideal candidate is automation-minded, reliability-obsessed, and thrives in a fast-moving fintech environment where innovation is constant. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
  • Build and maintain containerized environments and orchestration systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Implement and manage observability tooling for monitoring, logging, and alerting across production systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
  • Automate manual operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define platform standards, developer tooling, and self-service infrastructure.
  • Ensure infrastructure and deployment practices meet fintech security, compliance, and audit requirements (e.g., SOC 2).
  • Manage cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and disaster recovery practices.
  • Evaluate and integrate new platform, DevOps, and security tooling as the company scales.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or a related infrastructure role.
  • Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS.
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Exposure to blockchain infrastructure or distributed ledger technologies.
  • Experience with secrets management and identity/access tooling (e.g., Vault, IAM).
  • Basic proficiency with AI tools and a willingness to integrate emerging technologies into daily workflows.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer-paid life insurance and short/long-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Competitive PTO policy
  • A vibrant, inclusive workplace where your contributions make a difference
