Reporting directly to the Sales Lead, the Junior Sales Representative provides essential support to the sales team by performing a variety of administrative and sales task. The role involves assisting both the customer and the sales team to ensure smooth operations in the sales department and high customer satisfaction.

We specialize in mature, legacy, and end-of-life products that you won’t find anywhere else, and we keep failure-prone parts in stock to reduce lead times. We are bringing industrial distribution into the 21st century by using advanced analytics to stock failure-prone parts, and advanced logistics to reduce lead times on non-stock items. Our primary goal is to reduce downtime and provide high-quality products on time at a great price.


 Essential Functions


  • Order management for third party vendor 
  • Responsible for sending out quotes 
  • Communicate lead time on products 
  • Sources and searches for parts online with our vendors
  • Purchase products from vendors when the quote is approved
  • Creates POs for purchased products
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and/or email 
  • Complete data entry for company systems and spreadsheets, including Vendor Supplier Forms and Certificates of Insurance
  • Assist with order processing including credit cards and follow up on customer orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Increase product knowledge of the business, products and services 
  • Serve as a back up when other sales representatives are unavailable 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


Education and Competencies 


  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed oriented with strong problem solving skills
  • Customer focused with professional demeanor
  • Proven experience in administrative or sales support
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Shopify, Quoter or proven experience learning new systems quickly

  • Work environment: Office-based
  • Physical demands: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Salary

$42,000 - $45,000 per year
