Job Title: Environmental Technician (Apprentice)
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated apprentice to join our team and learn the skills of an Indoor Air Quality Technician. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals interested in starting a career in building health, air quality testing, and mold inspections. No prior experience is required—we provide hands-on training and support, including assistance in obtaining a Florida Mold Assessor’s License.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior technicians with indoor air quality testing and mold inspections.
- Learn to operate specialized monitoring and sampling equipment.
- Support in collecting samples, conducting visual assessments, and documenting findings.
- Shadow experienced team members to understand inspection procedures and client communications.
- Help prepare reports and recommendations under supervision.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- An associate’s degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
- Interest in environmental science, building systems, or construction preferred.
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Licensing & Training:
- Florida Mold Assessor’s License is preferred but not required.
