Job Title: Environmental Technician (Apprentice)


Overview:

We are seeking a motivated apprentice to join our team and learn the skills of an Indoor Air Quality Technician. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals interested in starting a career in building health, air quality testing, and mold inspections. No prior experience is required—we provide hands-on training and support, including assistance in obtaining a Florida Mold Assessor’s License.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians with indoor air quality testing and mold inspections.
  • Learn to operate specialized monitoring and sampling equipment.
  • Support in collecting samples, conducting visual assessments, and documenting findings.
  • Shadow experienced team members to understand inspection procedures and client communications.
  • Help prepare reports and recommendations under supervision.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • An associate’s degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
  • Interest in environmental science, building systems, or construction preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures.
  • Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.


Licensing & Training:

  • Florida Mold Assessor’s License is preferred but not required.
  • Full training and financial assistance for licensing will be provided.
