Description

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting air quality testing, mold inspections, and related assessments to ensure safe, healthy indoor environments for our clients. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, problem-solving, and working directly with customers to address their indoor environmental concerns.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform indoor air quality testing, including sampling for particulates, allergens, VOCs, and other pollutants.
  • Conduct comprehensive mold inspections, including visual assessments, moisture mapping, and air/surface sampling.
  • Operate and maintain specialized monitoring and testing equipment.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare clear, accurate reports for clients.
  • Assist in developing recommendations for remediation or corrective actions when necessary.
  • Educate clients on results and best practices for improving indoor air quality.
  • Stay current with industry standards, guidelines, and regulations related to indoor air quality and mold assessment.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in environmental testing, building inspections, or HVAC systems preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Licensing & Training:

  • A Valid Florida Mold Assessor’s License

Salary

$25 - $30 per hour
