Independence Hall Care Home is a new Residential Care Home in Wilson County! We are seeking highly motivated, focused, and empathetic people to join our team!

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

·     Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan within the scope of practice of certification or licensure.


·     Respond to resident needs, in a timely manner.

 

·     Prepare and provide meals or snacks as appropriate


·     Maintain accurate and complete records of care delivered.


·     Communicate change of condition in any resident to manager in a timely and effective manner.


·     Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses.

 

·     Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist in keeping the community and resident property clean.


·     Demonstrates behavior, which maintains and respects resident rights and promotes independence, regardless of race, religion, lifestyle, sexual preference, and disease process.


Requirements:

·     High school diploma or equivalent certificate


·     Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and current CPR, or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation.


·     Reads, writes, speaks, and understands English at the level necessary for performing duties.

Successful personal care assistants are highly empathetic and compassionate. They treat all residents with respect and dignity regardless of their condition or ability. Personal Care Assistants are perceptive, intuitive, and able to recognize when a resident behaves differently or seems upset. They are great communicators and get to know each resident on a personal level and form friendships while still being professional.

Salary

$10 - $15 per hour
