Incitrio is an innovation-driven, forward-thinking strategic branding and marketing agency. We're looking for a brilliant creative director to lead our team of thinkers and doers.

Our ideal candidate has a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to bring an experienced perspective to their recommendations. We’re looking for a talented creative leader to inspire our design team and continue to elevate our creative to a new level as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.

NOTE: We are in the process of completely redoing our website in terms of sharing latest portfolio work, upgrading messaging/positioning to better reflect our firm's strengths, and redesign the "look and feel" to match our current rebranding efforts. This will be one of the first projects that our new Creative Director tackles with the design team.

Objectives of this Role

  • Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
  • Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
  • Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape
  • Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, digital marketers, web developers, copywriters, HubSpot implementation experts, photographers, videographers, and collaborate with project managers on the strategic development of messages and deliverables for Incitrio and for clients
  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments
  • Manage team to ensure proper utilization and adherence to billable requirements as it relates to individual and team productivity/output
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Quality control all creative and content developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively appeal to client's ideal target archetypes, differentiate client from their competitors, and achieve client's marketing objectives (awareness, education, lead gen, ROI, and more)
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences
  • Present and explain design thinking behind final creative concepts to clients and obtain edits and/or approval to move to final stage (print, web "go live", or other)

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10 years of related experience with 7+ years of creative direction in agency or corporate setting
  • Years of experience creating creative brand transformations and digital marketing campaigns (from vision and the message platform to overseeing production and delivery of final assets to client, on time and on budget)
  • Understanding and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, tradeshow, and print
  • Proven experience with concept development
  • Exceptional experience leading a team of creative talent to quickly execute quality work that adheres to creative vision (set out by Creative Director and approved by the client at the start of the project)
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business and marketing language to confidently communicate will both clients and all internal team members for proper alignment regarding output (print, web, campaign, other) tied to creative vision

Qualifications – Required & Preferred

  • Graphic Design degree required
  • Business minor or certification preferred
  • HubSpot certification preferred
  • Prior experience with copywriting is ideal
  • Strength in both print/web design and production is required
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills, with a focus on creative direction
  • Ability to manage project and adhere to deadlines is 100% required (We have a FT project manager on staff to support the in-house creative team and communicate with clients regarding day-to-day and reporting)
