Overview

The Outside Sales Representative has the critical job of introducing potential customers to our renewal energy products and works with them to select and purchase products.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers about the various products and services available to them.
• Maintain an intimate knowledge of products, including features, benefits, and potential drawbacks/risks. Stay up to date on new technological advancements to offer accurate advice about which products are most effective for customer needs.
• Provide excellent customer service; generate leads; close deals; research potential target markets; use social media to promote and grow the network; attend industry events and trade shows.
• Collaborate with other departments on product design.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Permissions

Authority to resolve customer complaints.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university in Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science, Marketing, Business, or other related field required.
• Fluency in English. Bi-lingual in Chinese (Mandarin) language required.

• Acceptable level of proficiency in communication to collaborate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Capacity to quickly learn required skills, such as basic office equipment and selected company software programs.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret complex figures and text.

• Ability to work independently without supervision. 
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Must be a team player.

Work Environment

The work environment for the position includes a variety of indoor and outdoor environments including customer sites, trade shows/conference centers, enclosed offices, and workshop production floor.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of the position include walking, standing, reaching, and sitting, on a regular basis; ability to speak and hear; ability to visually detect product color and shading variation; lifting objects from one level to another; entering text or data via keyboard into a computer; seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands; ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or sounds.
