Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial health of the organization. This position oversees end-to-end finance operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and looks for improvements to processes and procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Implements financial and accounting best practices and oversees critical accounting procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  2. Drives the continuous improvement of the accounting practices.
  3. Prepares and posts monthly accounting entries.
  4. Prepares financial reports, statements, business activity reports, forecasts and other ad hoc reports..
  5. Plans budgets and monitors spending.
  6. Reviews financial reports, analyzes market trends, and calculates and files business income taxes.
  7. Ensures legal compliance requirements are met and monitors tax balances.
  8. Leads planning and forecasting activities with business partners and develops metrics to drive business performance.
  9. Provides insights and financial advice to executive management to help them make business decisions.
  10. Looks for ways to reduce costs, improve procedures and controls, and facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.
  11. Completes any other tasks as assigned by management.

 

Required Education/Experience

  • BA or BS in economics, finance, accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience required, leading team of accounting personnel.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Up to date Certified Public Accountant license preferred.

 

Competencies

  • Strong technical accounting background in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience identifying and applying for manufacturing tax credits.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with various ERP systems, including identification and implementation of appropriate systems.
  • Acceptable level of proficiency in communication to collaborate effectively with coworkers in various departments.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Must be a team player.

Salary

$92,000 - $98,000 per year
