Job Summary: The Nursery Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians.


Key Responsibility Areas:

  1. Curriculum Development: Design and implement a curriculum that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of preschool children.
  2. Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Ensure that children are supervised at all times and follow safety protocols.
  3. Child Assessment: Observe and assess the developmental progress of each child. Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to parents and guardians.
  4. Individualized Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and interests of each child.
  5. Parent Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians. Provide regular updates on their child's progress and address any concerns or questions.
  6. Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior management strategies to promote a respectful and cooperative classroom environment.
  7. Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed. Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate health records.
  8. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
  9. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to plan and implement center-wide activities and events.
  10. Resource Management: Ensure that classroom materials and supplies are used effectively and maintained in good condition. Request additional resources as needed.


Salary

$14 - $16 per hour
