ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Youth Minister, you'll lead, disciple, and build authentic relationships with our middle and high school students. You'll create a place where teenagers feel known and loved, develop the next generation of student leaders, and partner with parents and our ministry team to help students build a lasting faith.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead weekly youth services and a mid-week Life Group for middle and high school students
• Develop and deliver biblically sound, age-appropriate teaching that helps students grow spiritually
• Build genuine, consistent relationships with students through presence, mentorship, and pastoral care
• Identify, mentor, and develop student leaders within the youth ministry
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of adult volunteers who support student ministries
• Partner with parents and guardians to support students' spiritual growth at home
• Plan and lead youth events, retreats, and our annual summer camp
• Manage the youth ministry calendar, communications, and budget
• Collaborate with our pastoral and ministry team to help shape the culture and direction of student ministries at Image Church

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of youth or student ministry experience (paid or volunteer); an equivalent combination of ministry training and experience will also be considered
• A genuine love for teenagers and a gift for building trust with students and families
• Strong communication and teaching ability
• A self-starter who also thrives working within a growing team
• Comfortable with everyday ministry tools like Planning Center
• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Image Church's mission, vision, and Statement of Faith

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The figures below are a recommended starting point, benchmarked against national and Texas youth ministry compensation data — not a final offer. Image Church should confirm budget, board approval, and internal pay equity before this posting goes external.

• Base Salary: $24/hour
• Schedule: Approximately 25 hours/week; Mondays off
• Housing Allowance: Negotiable, based on candidate need and budget approval
• Continuing Education: Church-funded attendance at an annual team conference, with openness to funding additional individual conferences
• Equipment: Laptop and necessary software subscriptions provided (church property)
• Ministry Handoff: Inherits an established group of 40–60 students, with a full handoff from the current children's ministry lead
• Curriculum: Provided,  no need to build teaching content from scratch
• Summer Retreat: Week-long summer retreat included; attendance required
