Description

ABOUT IDL

The IDL is a global professional league transforming dance into a global sport. Founded by the creators of STEEZY, IDL unites elite teams from around the world under a structured season with contracts, major prizes, and championships. Combining the rigor of professional sport with the spectacle of live entertainment, IDL is redefining what competition looks like for a new generation.

Season 1 has already generated more than 1 billion views, sold out nearly every live event, and secured distribution through ESPN2 in the United States and Disney+ internationally.

THE ROLE

IDL is hiring a Senior Manager, Partnership Solutions to turn sponsor briefs into compelling, sellable proposals.

You will work closely with our VP of Partnerships and company leadership to interpret each opportunity, develop the strategic idea, recommend the right mix of assets, and direct a designer through deck production. The work will span new sponsorships, renewals, formal RFPs, and proactive category pitches.

Some opportunities will have generous lead time. Others will require credible initial thinking within a day. You will need to move quickly, surface missing information and tradeoffs early, and keep the work moving.

Our partnership sellers will own prospect presentations, negotiations, and closing. You will own the strategy and materials behind those conversations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Interpret sponsor briefs, discovery notes, and business objectives. Research the brand, category, audience, and competitive context needed to shape a specific recommendation.
  • Develop the partnership concept, narrative, activation approach, and measurement plan for each opportunity.
  • Join selected sponsor discovery and pitch conversations to understand feedback and explain the strategic thinking.
  • Help define and maintain IDL's partnership inventory in SponsorCX. Build packages from IDL's event, media, talent, content, and experiential assets, and identify new sellable rights and platforms as sponsor needs emerge.
  • Draft the initial package structure, rights grid, and commercial assumptions for leadership review. Coordinate with content, events, operations, finance, and legal as needed to confirm IDL can deliver what it proposes.
  • Ensure partnerships are pitched with assets that are within a defined margin structure
  • Write proposal structures, slide headlines, copy, and creative direction. Direct IDL's deck designer, give useful feedback, and manage the work through review and revision.
  • Deliver about two proposal workstreams per week, depending on complexity. Prioritize urgent opportunities and flag commercial or execution risks early.
  • Build reusable category stories, partnership platforms, case studies, proposal templates, and proof points so the sales team can move faster over time.
  • Create a clear handoff from the sold concept to the team responsible for activation.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success means the partnership team can move from a qualified brief to a credible, sellable proposal faster, with fewer revision cycles and confidence that IDL can deliver what it is proposing.

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Take primary ownership of strategy and materials for active sponsorship proposals.
  • Establish a reliable working process with the partnerships team and resources.
  • Deliver about two proposal workstreams per week while beginning a reusable library of sales materials and sellable rights.

We will evaluate the role primarily on proposal quality, turnaround time, and seller readiness. Over time, we will also look at prospect progression and win rate while accounting for lead quality, pricing, and timing.

WHAT YOU WILL NOT PRIMARILY OWN

  • Prospecting or outbound pipeline generation.
  • Serving as the lead seller, negotiating agreements, or closing deals.
  • Day-to-day partner account management after a deal closes.
  • Personally designing every slide or producing every activation.

You may occasionally support these activities, but others on the partnership team remain accountable for them.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • At least five years of relevant experience in partnership solutions, sponsorship strategy, integrated marketing, or a closely related role.
  • Property-side or agency experience in sports, gaming, entertainment, or live events. League, team, or venue experience is especially relevant.
  • A portfolio that shows your personal contribution to pre-sale partnership proposals, platforms, or campaigns.
  • The ability to turn a brand objective into a specific partnership idea and commercial narrative, rather than a generic collection of assets.
  • Commercial judgment across asset selection, rights, pricing logic, measurement, and what a property can credibly deliver.
  • Experience using audience insights, campaign data, or sponsorship measurement to strengthen proposals and define credible KPIs.
  • Strong deck writing and presentation judgment, including the ability to give useful direction to a designer.
  • The speed and judgment to manage several live opportunities, change direction as new information arrives, and create structure while IDL's inventory and sales playbook are still developing.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience building partnerships for an emerging or challenger sports property.
  • Familiarity with dance, gaming, esports, creator media, music, or fashion.

ROLE DETAILS

  • Location: Remote within the United States.
  • Employment: Full-time employee.
  • Compensation: $110,000-$130,000 base salary, based on experience and demonstrated capability.
  • Bonus: This role is eligible for bonus.
  • Reporting to: VP of Partnerships.
  • Schedule: Meaningful overlap with US business hours and flexibility around time-sensitive opportunities are required.

HOW TO APPLY

Please send:

  • Your resume or LinkedIn profile.
  • A short note about the most relevant partnership proposal or platform you helped develop.
  • One redacted example, case study, or portfolio walkthrough that shows the brief, your contribution, and the commercial result or next step. If confidentiality prevents you from sharing the work, describe it instead.

Selected candidates will complete a paid exercise based on a realistic IDL partnership brief. It will assess how you interpret a brief, build a commercially sound partnership idea, and communicate it under a realistic deadline. Finalists will also complete reference checks before an offer is made.
