Summary
The Executive Producer of Events is responsible for leading all global event execution for the International Dance League (IDL). This role oversees the full lifecycle of every IDL event, from city-based league stops to championship finals, ensuring world-class production, operational excellence, on-time delivery, and a consistent brand experience worldwide.
You’ll manage internal teams, external vendors, creative partners, local promoters, broadcast crews, and global operators to bring IDL events to life at the highest level. This role is equal parts logistics, creative production, operations, and leadership. You will be the person who “owns the room,” drives clarity, makes the big calls, and ensures every IDL event hits the bar we’ve set.
This is a senior role for someone who has produced large-scale live events, sports events, music experiences, arena-level shows, or global touring productions. If you love the pressure of live environments, thrive in chaos, and can lead global teams with precision, this is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Leadership & Production
- Lead end-to-end production for all IDL global events, including event design, run-of-show, staging, creative, technology, staffing, and on-site execution.
- Own the master event calendar and ensure all deliverables hit deadlines across multiple cities and time zones.
- Oversee creative production: staging, lighting, audio, visual direction, screen content, show flow, and talent integration.
- Manage and refine event formats across Pro Division, Community, and Youth pipeline events.
- Operational & Technical Execution
- Build and manage all production workflows, documentation, and operational processes.
- Oversee technical requirements: broadcast, fiber internet, power, stage builds, rigging, camera positions, and LED systems.
- Ensure every event delivers a seamless experience for dancers, teams, fans, broadcast partners, and sponsors.
- Vendor, Promoter & Partner Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage global production vendors, agencies, crews, and local operators.
- Work closely with local promoters and international partners to align on operations, budgets, and execution standards.
- Integrate sponsorship deliverables into event flow (e.g., Jordan, Honda, Ciroc, Empire Records) while protecting brand and fan experience.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight
- Own event budgets end-to-end, from scoping to reconciliation.
- Track and forecast costs across production, staffing, logistics, venue, equipment, and broadcast.
- Identify efficiencies, savings opportunities, and scalable frameworks as IDL expands globally.
- Team Leadership
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing events team across production, operations, stage management, logistics, and broadcast.
- Create repeatable systems that scale as IDL grows from 1-3 events to 10-20+ events worldwide.
- Lead cross-functional alignment with Partnerships, Creative, Marketing, Talent, and Executive teams.
- Global Expansion
- Establish IDL’s event standards and playbooks for international markets (APAC, Middle East, Europe, etc.).
- Oversee site visits, venue selection, and operator onboarding for new countries.
- Ensure cultural sensitivity, local compliance, and operational excellence in every new region.
- Fan Experience & Innovation
- Define and elevate the IDL live experience — from VIP to GA, pre-show to post-show.
- Drive new concepts around presentation, storytelling, music integration, and competitive format.
- Collaborate with broadcast/streaming partners to maximize digital engagement and reach.
