Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and enhance all testing and validation activities required for successful deployment of the EHRM system.
- Review and expand the Joint Master Test Plan (JMTP), including testing strategies, roles/responsibilities, test scope, schedules, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure clinical workflows and use cases are thoroughly validated, incorporating clinical end-user input to confirm safe and effective patient care support.
- Develop, review, and execute test cases/scripts that trace to documented requirements, covering system, integration, functional, non-functional, regression, user acceptance (UAT), and performance testing.
- Facilitate UAT with VA end-users; document and track results and defects; provide formal deployment readiness recommendations.
- Conduct device and system compatibility testing, including end-user devices, networks, and legacy systems.
- Validate site-specific data migrations and EHRM interoperability with external systems.
- Implement and maintain automated testing tools and defect tracking systems; prioritize and track issues to closure.
- Provide regular test execution reports, defect logs, and resolution summaries.
- Utilize and maintain a comprehensive Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders on testing lifecycle activities and ensure compliance with clinical and operational objectives.
Key Deliverables:
- A comprehensive Implementation Plan, including both initial and updated versions, outlining the strategy and timeline for deployment.
- A Gap Analysis Report identifying non-Oracle implementation activities and areas requiring attention.
- Site-specific readiness assessments and tracking tools to monitor preparedness across locations.
- Go/No-Go readiness checklists to support decision-making at key implementation milestones.
- Documentation of implementation metrics and lessons learned to inform continuous improvement and future deployments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred for lead roles).
- Minimum of 5 years (Test Engineers) or 8 (Test Lead) of software/system testing experience, preferably in federal healthcare IT systems.
- Experience with EHR systems (Oracle Health/Cerner preferred), clinical workflows, and enterprise health data.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing test cases and using testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, SoapUI, JIRA, Selenium).
- Familiarity with federal standards (HIPAA, NIST, FIPS) and VA security/privacy requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with automated testing implementation and maintenance.
- Prior experience supporting testing in federal programs or VA/DoD healthcare environments.
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Agile development.
Clearance Requirement:
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Tier 2 Moderate Risk (MBI) clearance.
