Key Responsibilities:
· Define and implement software QA processes, methodologies, and standards.
· Develop test strategies, plans, and scripts covering unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
·Oversee test execution and defect resolution, ensuring compliance with VA standards.
· Coordinate with developers, architects, and business analysts to validate requirements traceability.
· Lead performance testing, security validation, and compliance testing.
· Mentor QA engineers and provide technical leadership in test automation and validation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 8+ years of QA and testing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
· Expertise in QA tools, test automation frameworks, and defect tracking systems.
· Strong understanding of federal standards (NIST, HIPAA, FISMA) and VA testing requirements.
· Experience working with Cerner (Oracle Health) electronic health record solutions and prior involvement with the VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program is strongly preferred.
Deliverables:
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver test strategies, test plans, and test cases for applications and systems.
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver test execution reports documenting test results and coverage.
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver defect tracking and resolution reports.
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver regression test results following system updates and patches.
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver performance and load testing reports validating scalability.
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver compliance validation reports ensuring alignment with VA and federal standards.
· The Senior Software QA Engineer shall deliver QA knowledge transfer and mentoring materials for junior engineers.
Clearance Requirement:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / Moderate Risk clearance.
