Mission: I.ndigenous Am.ericas Institute of Legacy or I. Am. Legacy is a grassroots, system impacted group of commUnity members who have made a commitment to serve, advocate, protect and cultivate those who are the future change makers for the next seven generations. We are building solutions by adding our voices to a system that has never been held accountable for the number of Indigenous peoples, and other people of color, that are directly or collaterally damaged by systemic and systematic policy and program. This is to utilize the eons of Health, Wellness & Healing to address the many contemporary struggles, hardships and challenges our people are enduring today.

They will establish and maintain rapport with local schools, community partners, and criminal justice institutions to provide services to youth and young adults identified as high-risk behaviors. Will work closely with other program support staff to ensure that youth are integrated into other programs to dissuade them from recidivating and/or returning to gangs, destructive activities to themselves, others, and community assets thus bringing them in contact with community resources to channel their behavior toward positive and rewarding goals. The Outreach Navigator serves as a key point of contact between community members, organizations, and service providers. They work to build relationships, promote programs, and ensure that individuals and families in need are connected with the appropriate resources. This role often requires a high level of communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
