We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our busy, fast-paced, and growing multi-doctor optometry practice. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our three doctors while assisting with various diagnostic tests, patient interactions, and office tasks to ensure smooth operations and the highest level of patient satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Patient Care:** Greet patients, collect medical histories, and perform preliminary testing to assist the doctors in diagnosing and treating eye conditions.

- **Diagnostic Testing:** Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures including refractometry, visual field testing, OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), fundus photography, tonometry, and retinal imaging.

- **Equipment Operation:** Set up and maintain diagnostic equipment, ensuring all machines are functioning correctly and safely.

- **Patient Education:** Provide patients with pre-test instructions, explain testing procedures, and help with the preparation for eye exams.

- **Record Keeping:** Accurately document patient information, test results, and doctor’s notes in the electronic health records system (EHR).

- **Assist During Exams:** Support the optometrist during eye exams by providing instruments, gathering necessary data, and ensuring patient comfort.

- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with the doctors and office staff to ensure a smooth workflow, maintaining communication as the office evolves and patient needs change.

- **Inventory Management:** Monitor and restock office supplies and diagnostic equipment.

- **Administrative Support:** Assist with patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and other administrative tasks as needed.

**Skills and Qualifications:**

- Experience as an Optometric Technician or in a related healthcare field preferred, but not required.

- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

- Knowledge of optometry equipment and terminology.

- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and patient care.
