HumanWorks Collective is growing and seeking an experienced, client-centered Clinical Therapist to join our expanding team. About the Role
As a Clinical Therapist at HWC, you will provide outpatient mental health services, support clients through individualized treatment, and contribute to a collaborative clinical team focused on whole-person care. Clinical supervision is provided for eligible associate-level clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based approaches
- Deliver crisis intervention, stabilization, and safety planning when needed
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in alignment with NC DHHS and Medicaid/MCO regulations
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate care with internal providers and community partners to support continuity of services
Qualifications
Required (Aligned with NC DHHS & Partners MCO Standards)
Candidates must hold one of the following North Carolina clinical licenses:
- LCSW
- LCMHC
- LMFT
- LPC / LCMHC-A (supervision provided)
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of outpatient therapy experience
- (Experience must include providing billable therapy services, completing assessments, treatment planning, and maintaining clinical documentation.)
Additional Requirements
- Must meet NC DHHS requirements for outpatient therapy
- Must be eligible for credentialing with NC Medicaid and local MCOs
- Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work with diverse populations and clinical presentations
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with community-based mental health
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong communication and teamwork strengths
- Ability to work independently while meeting clinical expectations
Work Environment
- Supportive leadership with 20+ years of combined human services experience
- Clinical supervision available for LCMHC-A, LMFT-A, and pre-licensed clinicians
- Flexible scheduling: onsite, hybrid, or community-based roles depending on program needs
