HumanWorks Collective is growing and seeking an experienced, client-centered Clinical Therapist to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based outpatient therapy and want to be part of a supportive, mission-driven organization.


About the Role

As a Clinical Therapist at HWC, you will provide outpatient mental health services, support clients through individualized treatment, and contribute to a collaborative clinical team focused on whole-person care. Clinical supervision is provided for eligible associate-level clinicians.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based approaches
  • Deliver crisis intervention, stabilization, and safety planning when needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in alignment with NC DHHS and Medicaid/MCO regulations
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate care with internal providers and community partners to support continuity of services

Qualifications

Required (Aligned with NC DHHS & Partners MCO Standards)

Candidates must hold one of the following North Carolina clinical licenses:


  • LCSW
  • LCMHC
  • LMFT
  • LPC / LCMHC-A (supervision provided)

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of outpatient therapy experience
  • (Experience must include providing billable therapy services, completing assessments, treatment planning, and maintaining clinical documentation.)

Additional Requirements

  • Must meet NC DHHS requirements for outpatient therapy
  • Must be eligible for credentialing with NC Medicaid and local MCOs
  • Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and clinical presentations

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with community-based mental health
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork strengths
  • Ability to work independently while meeting clinical expectations

Work Environment

  • Supportive leadership with 20+ years of combined human services experience
  • Clinical supervision available for LCMHC-A, LMFT-A, and pre-licensed clinicians
  • Flexible scheduling: onsite, hybrid, or community-based roles depending on program needs

$30 - $50 per hour
