Pediatric Occupational Therapist for Long Beach and surrounding cities.
DUTIES
- Conduct patient assessments to determine mobility deficits using developmental assessments such as Developmental Assessment of Young Children Second Edition (DAYC-2) and Bayley Scales of Infant Development 4th Edition (BAYLEY-4)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients (in-home) with various
- Travel to patient home to conduct sessions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Monitor and document patient progress using EMR system and adjust treatment plans as needed via evaluation
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
- a Bachelor’s degree, completion of an ACOTE-accredited Master's or Doctoral program, and passing the national NBCOT certification exam.
- Valid California state license or certification in Occupational Therapy
-1 year minimum experience working with pediatrics is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to occupational therapy function
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
