We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AV Hardware Installation Assistant to support the installation, setup, and maintenance of audiovisual systems in educational spaces. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Lead AV Technician to install and test equipment such as (but not limited to) cameras, speakers, microphones, servers, control systems, and other AV components. This role is hands-on and requires technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Travel within the US will be REQUIRED.

Job Summary


We are seeking a motivated AV Hardware Installation Assistant to join our team specializing in Healthcare Simulation Systems. This dynamic role involves supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual (AV) hardware used in medical training environments. You will work closely with senior technicians and project managers to ensure seamless setup and operation of complex simulation systems that enhance healthcare education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced, innovative setting dedicated to advancing medical training through cutting-edge AV technology.

 

Duties


  • Assist Lead Technician with installation of healthcare simulation systems and supporting AV equipment.
  • Mount and install cameras, microphones, speakers, monitors, servers, and related hardware.
  • Run, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling including CAT5/CAT6, HDMI, USB, and audio/video connections.
  • Assemble equipment racks and install network-connected devices.
  • Support system testing, troubleshooting, and quality checks during installation projects.
  • Unpack, inventory, organize, and stage equipment at customer sites.
  • Document completed work and communicate installation progress to project leads.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
  • Follow all customer site safety requirements and company policies.


Experience


  • 2+ years of experience in AV installation, low-voltage installation, telecommunications, structured cabling, security systems, networking, or related technical field work.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic testing equipment.
  • Ability to read installation drawings, equipment layouts, and cable labeling documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel nationwide.



Salary

$250 - $250 per day
