The Sous Chef is expected to run the kitchen in place of the executive chef when the chef is not on site as well as provide support on production, training and organization of the kitchen. Sous Chefs are expected to do the majority of the hands on training with the staff as well as implement and enforce standards of quality.

Our Expectations & Requirements
- Have at least four years of general kitchen experience and two years of sous chef experience, managing in restaurants of similar caliber.
- Ability to be consistently punctual and ready to work at your scheduled in-time.
- Must possess a valid food manager's certificate.
- Promote cleanliness and organization through your own actions and ensure adherence to food safety standards from all kitchen staff.
- Have strong knife skills and the ability to prepare and plate all dishes according to the restaurant s standards.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be comfortable standing for extended periods of time. It may be required to continuously bend, reach, and twist during a shift.
-Be able to understand production needs and effectively communicate in a team environment. Assist the chef management team in ensuring the completion of all necessary tasks for a successful shift.
- Help to instill company culture, build morale, and create an inclusive and ongoing positive work environment, using established procedures as well as newly developed initiatives.
- Work with the Chef to create, train, and educate staff on new menu items and changes in procedures for current menu items. Hold staff accountable for implanting said changes.
