Job Summary

Hope Group Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team! The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and be passionate about their role to serve seniors, individuals living with disabilities and chronic illnesses. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our patients through attentive care and support. Will train the right candidate with little to no experience!

Qualifications:

  • Valid CNA license is a bonus but not a must
  • Valid Driver's license and Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Must complete new hire onboarding and training
  • TB Test
  • Must complete CPR training or current license be in good standing
  • Effective communication
  • Strong work ethic


Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor patient health by observing and reporting changes in their condition.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting and moving patients.
  • Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals to meet individual patient needs.
  • Support patients with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Engage with patients through conversation and activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
  • Document patient observations and care provided accurately for continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide specialized support for individuals with dementia or disabilities, fostering a supportive environment.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in caregiving roles such as hospice care, home health, or group home settings preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and care plans is essential.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients safely while adhering to best practices for mobility support.
  • Strong observational skills to identify changes in patient conditions promptly.
  • Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
  • Understanding of dementia care principles or experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Open to continuing education and certifications!

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop to complete the required tasks.
  • Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds to carry grocery, laundry, etc.
