Work from home…

Honeyfund is a fully remote company. You’ll work on a company-provided computer, from your own at-home office space where you can sign on to work each day, stay focused and be free from distractions. Since we’re a team that crosses many time zones, core team hours are 11 am to 5 pm Eastern time and your hours can be flexible around that. Our virtual office runs on Slack where we stay in communication via message, calls, and video conferences.

As the Data Analyst II, you will lead the strategic vision of how we use data to drive impact on the business. You will use data to solve high-priority business problems by applying advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques to draw data-driven insights. As an expert in understanding data attribution, you will use data to identify the key moments that drive value for new and existing users.


We are looking for someone who is willing to get their hands dirty to uncover key metrics driving performance, but can also see the big picture and understand Honeyfund’s business strategy. This multi-functional role will work between Marketing, Product, Member Success, and the Executive team.


You are a fit for this role if you enjoy a fast-paced work environment that requires you to quickly mine data to create accurate and accessible information for our business and core users. This position sits in the Product/Engineering department and will report to the Vice President of Engineering.


Job responsibilities...

  • ‪Build out yearly, quarterly and event-based forecasts across the business
  • Collect, clean and study data for key or specialized analytics projects
  • Identify data trends to solve significant, immediate business problems
  • Assess the quality of data by building queries and propose tests to validate data sources
  • Help the team find, test, and scale new and innovative ways to increase acquisition, conversion, and retention at every stage of the funnel
  • Develop, plan, evaluate/test, and conduct audit systems in order to assist business units in making sound decisions
  • Get creative by joining together separate data sets to create new metrics and calculations
  • Implement the latest in AI technology to automate reporting, and summarize data to provide insights to management
  • Present findings, analyses, and recommendations
  • Train cross-functional teams to improve their understanding of reporting and key metrics
  • Help research and implement best in class data mining tools and technology
  • Provide analytics requirements for all new features as well as maintain a backlog of analytics needed for analyzing business needs


Why we’ll love you...

  • Have 3+ years data analysis experience with proven experience in SQL, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or other data management/visualization tools
  • Previous experience working on a B2C or marketplace product
  • Ability to mine data, compile, and manipulate in multiple systems/programs and analyze results SQL
  • Ability to build out forecasts for key product features and events
  • Understand channel attribution and build reporting based on channel performance
  • Know how to create and communicate effective presentations for management
  • AI familiarity preferred but not required


Skills we'd love you to have...

Optimal candidates will have experience with or working knowledge of the following tools and technologies:


MySQL, AWS S3 and CloudFront, Git, Bitbucket, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, SQL, Jira, G-Suite, Slack, Lean Startup Methodologies, Agile Delivery Methodologies and a cursory knowledge of AI tools

Compensation:

Salary range: $65,000 - $105,000 Dependent on Experience and Location
