Full-Time Career Path | W-2 Position

About the Role

Honey Mental Health is seeking thoughtful, curious, and motivated Limited License Therapists who are excited to learn, be supervised, and grow into exceptional clinicians.

This position is designed for early-career therapists who want more than a place to accumulate hours. We want to help you develop your clinical identity, gain meaningful experience with a diverse adult caseload, discover the work you want to become known for, and build a long-term career in private practice.

Clinicians will provide individual therapy to adults experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, grief, life transitions, parenting, reproductive and perinatal mental health, ADHD, and emotional overwhelm.

This role also includes group facilitation. Training and support will be provided, but applicants should be excited about developing skills in both individual and group therapy.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain an individual therapy caseload

• Provide therapy primarily to adults across a range of clinical concerns

• Work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, life transitions, and other common mental health needs

• Have opportunities to work with pregnancy, postpartum, reproductive, and parenting populations

• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups

• Participate actively in clinical supervision

• Participate in group consultation and case review

• Develop clinical specialties and areas of expertise over time

• Collaborate with Honey’s therapy, psychiatry, and leadership teams

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and Honey’s collaborative office culture

Clinical Training & Development

This role is specifically designed for clinicians who want to be supervised, supported, challenged, and taught.

At Honey, supervision is not simply something you complete to obtain your independent license. We believe it is an important period of professional development and an opportunity to become a stronger, more confident therapist.

Clinicians will have opportunities to co-facilitate and eventually lead therapeutic and psychoeducational groups based on clinical interests and community needs.

Prior group experience is not required.

Training, mentorship, and support will be provided.

What is required is a willingness—and genuine excitement—to learn how to become a confident group facilitator.

Requirements

• Active Michigan LLMSW or LLPC license

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field

• Actively working toward independent licensure

• Commitment to building toward and maintaining a full-time caseload

• Willingness to provide both individual and group therapy

• Commitment to supervision and continued clinical development

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Commitment to ethical, compassionate, evidence-informed care

Caseload & Career Path

This position is designed for clinicians seeking a long-term, full-time career in private practice.

Your caseload will build over time. We do not expect a new clinician to begin with a full schedule on day one.

We do expect applicants to be committed to growing into and maintaining a full-time caseload.

Honey provides the infrastructure to support that growth, including insurance contracts, referrals, marketing, credentialing, billing, administrative support, supervision, consultation, and specialty development.

Our hope is that clinicians joining us at the Limited License level will grow with Honey well beyond independent licensure.
