Your Responsibilities as a Handyman Professional

Maintenance & Repairs

You’ll complete small to medium residential repairs and maintenance projects, typically ranging from two hours to a full day. Think drywall patching, door and trim work, faucet replacements, fan installs, fence repairs, fixture swaps, furniture assembly, and similar tasks.

On-Site Quoting & Sales

This role is as much about winning the job as it is about doing the job. You’ll assess the scope of work on-site, build written quotes, present pricing to the homeowner, and close the sale — often in the same visit. While you’re there, you’ll also look for additional work that needs attention and recommend it as a trusted advisor. We’ll train you on our quoting process, but you need to be comfortable talking money with customers and earning their confidence.

Customer Communication

You'll assess the scope of work on-side, put together a written quote, present pricing to the homeowner, and close the sale - often in the same visit. While you're there, you'll also look for additional work that needs attention and recommend it as a trusted advisor. We'll train you on our quoting process, but you should be comfortable talking through pricing with customers and earing their confidence.

Professionalism & Documentation — Accurate job notes, photos of completed work, properinvoicing, and timely payment collection through our app (Jobber) are all part of the role.


Key Responsibilities

Home Repair & Maintenance

  • Perform general home repairs (doors, trim, drywall patching, minor carpentry).
  • Install and repair fixtures (plumbing, electrical within legal limits).
  • Complete basic plumbing jobs: faucet replacement, minor leak repair.
  • Complete basic electrical jobs: fixture replacement, fan installation.
  • Perform minor painting and touch-ups.
  • Repair or install hardware, shelving, blinds, etc.
  • Assemble and install furniture and appliances.
  • Complete exterior tasks: gutter cleanout, fence repair, screen repair.
  • Accurately diagnose repair needs and communicate solutions to customers.

Customer Service

  • Arrive on time in branded attire and company vehicle.
  • Greet customers professionally and walk them through the job plan.
  • Provide honest recommendations and explain repair options clearly.
  • Obtain customer approvals for changes or additional work.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure all work meets HomePro quality guidelines.
  • Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and jobsite cleanliness rules.
  • Document completed work with photos and job notes.

Administrative Duties

  • Use the company’s tablet/app for scheduling, notes, invoices, and payments.
  • Fill out check-out forms, liability acknowledgments, and service logs.
  • Track materials and maintain tool inventory.


Job Requirements

These are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position.

  • Live in or near the Tulsa Metro area
  • 5+ years’ experience in handyman, maintenance, or residential repair work
  • Own your own core hand and power tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Complete a background and driving record check
  • Able to lift 50 pounds independently
  • Able to safely work at heights and work overheard for extended periods of time
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Comfortable presenting quotes, discussing pricing, and closing sales face-to-face
