House Manager

Home Sweet Home Group Home is looking for a dependable House Manager to help keep the home running smoothly day to day. This position is hands-on and includes caregiver duties, staff support, behavior tracking, resident transportation, shift coverage, documentation, food inventory, menu planning, and keeping the home clean, safe, and organized.

The House Manager should be someone who can stay on top of daily tasks, communicate with staff and management, and make sure residents are being cared for properly. This person will also help guide staff during shifts and make sure behavior notes, sleep tracking, incident reports, and other required documentation are being completed.

Main Responsibilities

The House Manager will be responsible for:


  • Assisting residents with meals, reminders, activities, supervision, and daily care needs
  • Monitoring resident behaviors and making sure behavior tracking is completed correctly
  • Helping staff follow behavior support plans and resident care plans
  • Reviewing behavior notes, sleep tracking, incident reports, and other logs to make sure concerns are documented
  • Reporting behavior changes, safety concerns, incidents, staff concerns, maintenance issues, supply needs, or food needs to management
  • Supporting staff during shifts and helping make sure assigned duties are completed
  • Helping train or guide new staff when needed
  • Helping with shift coverage when needed, including open shifts or call-offs
  • Transporting residents to appointments, outings, errands, and other approved locations as needed
  • Making sure residents are safely supervised during transportation
  • Completing nightly food inventory by checking the fridge, freezer, and pantry
  • Planning the next day’s menu using food already available in the home
  • Making sure meals and snacks are prepared based on the daily menu
  • Helping keep the kitchen, bathrooms, common areas, resident areas, laundry, and other parts of the home clean and organized
  • Completing required documentation before the end of each shift
  • Making sure staff complete required paperwork and logs before leaving
  • Following medication policies and reporting medication concerns, errors, or missed documentation right away
  • Setting a professional example by being on time, following company policies, respecting confidentiality, and treating residents, staff, families, and management with respect

Requirements

Applicants must be able to:


  • Work well with residents and staff
  • Track and report resident behaviors correctly
  • Follow behavior support plans and care plans
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time
  • Stay organized and help keep the home on track
  • Communicate concerns to management
  • Help cover shifts when needed
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Safely drive residents when needed
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Have a clean or acceptable driving record
  • Be dependable, respectful, and professional

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving experience
  • Experience working in a CBRF, group home, assisted living, or similar setting
  • Experience with behavior tracking or behavior support plans
  • Medication Administration certification preferred
  • First Aid and Choking certification preferred
  • Fire Safety and Standard Precautions preferred
  • Previous lead, supervisor, or management experience is helpful

Schedule

Schedule may vary based on the needs of the home. The House Manager may be required to help with shift coverage when needed.

Salary

$36,000 - $36,000 per year
