Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for diesel mechanics and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will assist in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of charter buses, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the routine maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
• Help with oil changes, fluid checks, and component replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with senior mechanics and team members to learn and develop skills.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a diesel mechanic program is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in diesel maintenance and repair.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Capability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., outdoors, in tight spaces).
• Stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual labor.
