The Grace Kids Assistant plays a key role in creating environments where kids can develop their own authentic faith. This position provides leadership in curriculum preparation, team member support, and event coordination to ensure every weekend and special event is engaging, organized, and centered on helping kids, parents, and team members know and follow Jesus. Working closely with the Grace Kids Director, the Grace Kids Assistant helps oversee preschool and elementary environments, equips team members with the resources they need to succeed, and ensures every event is executed with excellence.

Description

Primary Responsibilities


Curriculum Resourcing

  • Prepare and organize weekly preschool and elementary curriculum materials.
  • Coordinate all lesson supplies, crafts, games, and teaching resources for weekend services.
  • Ensure classrooms are fully stocked, organized, and ready each week.
  • Maintain curriculum inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to improve curriculum implementation and classroom experiences.


Event Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and execute Grace Kids events throughout the year, including team trainings, family events, outreach opportunities, and seasonal programs.
  • Develop event timelines, logistics, team schedules, and supply lists.
  • Coordinate communication with team members, parents, and other departments.
  • Manage event setup, execution, and follow-up to create memorable experiences.
  • Evaluate events and implement improvements.


Team Building & Volunteer Management

  • Recruit and equip new Grace Kids team members.
  • Build relationships with team members through regular communication, encouragement, and appreciation.
  • Assist with team scheduling and coordination using Planning Center.
  • Support ongoing training and leadership development for all Grace Kids teams.
  • Help cultivate a healthy, fun, and mission-focused team culture.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing classrooms and environments for weekend services.
  • Maintain organization, inventory, and storage spaces.
  • Support parent communication and first time guest assimilation precesses.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning, and collaborative projects.
  • Assist with administrative tasks that support the overall success of Grace Kids.

  • Passion for children's ministry and helping kids discover God's love.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead team members with encouragement, clarity, and humility.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable learning and using software such as Planning Center, Asana, Slack, Google Drive, and Mail Chimp.
