Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour

Job description:

Schedule: Monday's - Friday's; 7am - 4pm

As a CDL A Driver, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe and timely pick-ups and deliveries of freight for customers. You’ll work closely with Dispatch and operations staff to maintain efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction on every route.

In This Role, You Will:

● Operate company vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.

● Read and interpret traffic signs and controls per FHWA regulations.

● Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and report maintenance

needs.

● Track and maintain hours-of-service logs in compliance with DOT regulations.

● Load, stow, and secure freight safely to prevent damage or shifting during transit.

● Review shipping documents to verify accuracy and proper freight segregation.

● Use the correct equipment and follow safe loading/unloading procedures.

● Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

● Minimum of 2 years experience driving assigned trucks in a local environment.

● Valid Alaska Class A Commercial Driver’s License

● Valid DOT Medical Card.

● Clean driving record with a commitment to safety.

● Reliable, flexible, and punctual with the ability to work varying schedules.

● Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Desired:

● Experience operating in Alaska’s unique terrain and climate conditions.

● Familiarity with DOT and FHWA regulations.

● Strong customer service and communication skills.
