Job description:

Schedule: Monday - Friday's. Hours: Flexible. Weekend work as needed.

Equipment Type (Truck/ Trailer): Peterbilt, 567 (Automatics), 389 (Manual 18 speed). Reitnour or Mac Trailer spread 3 axle or 4 axle, Side-kit or Conestoga

Operating area / Miles per week

Common stops: Ohio, to NW Indiana, Western PA, Detroit area

Experience Requirements: 2 years driving. 1 year of Steel hauling.

(Heavy Haul experience preferred)

Responsibilities

● Safely transport steel freight via flatbed

● Load a secure metal products with chains, straps etc to meet DOT and company requirements

● Track and maintain hours of service logs via Samsara System

● Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections

● Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

● Examine shipping documents to verify all shipments

● Maintain compliance with all FMCSA regulations

● All other duties as assigned

Requirements

● Valid CDL-A with 2+ years of recent tractor-trailer experience

● 1 year of verifiable steel coil hauling experience required

● Experience with 18 speed manual transmissions preferred

● Valid Medical Card

● Must have a safe driving history and professional attitude with no more than 3

moving violations in the last 36 months.

● No more than 2 accidents in the last 36 months
