Join HIT Services as a Professional Interpreter

HIT Services is seeking experienced, professional interpreters to provide onsite interpretation services throughout South Carolina. Interpreters support communication in healthcare, education, mental health, social services, and community-based settings.

Position Type

Work Location

·       In Person | Various Locations Throughout South Carolina


Responsibilities

·       Provide accurate and impartial interpretation services.

·       Perform consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation.

·       Conduct sight translation of written materials when needed.

·       Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

·       Facilitate effective communication in healthcare, educational, legal, social service, and community settings.


Minimum Qualifications

·       Minimum of two (2) years of documented professional interpretation experience in your language pair and field of specialization.

·       Proven fluency in both source and target languages.

·       Knowledge of consecutive interpretation, simultaneous interpretation, sight translation, field-specific terminology, interpreter ethics, and professional boundaries.


Preferred Certifications

·       CHI or CoreCHI™

·       CMI or Hub-CMI

·       NCEISL

·       State Court Interpreter Certification

·       FCCI
