Responsibilities
- Champion and uphold Highview’s mission, vision, and values through service, work ethic, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, lighting, and general building upkeep under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities.
- Assist with event setups and teardowns, ensuring rooms, equipment, staging, and furniture are arranged according to event specifications for church gatherings and school events.
- Support campus operations by opening/closing buildings, ensuring systems are operating, and monitoring facility conditions throughout the day as needed.
- Respond promptly to helpdesk tickets and other maintenance requests, facility issues, and unexpected outages, communicating needs to the Assistant Director of Facilities.
- Help oversee and maintain the grounds, including trash removal, minor landscaping tasks, walkway clearing, and general campus appearance.
- Ensure rooms and equipment at Whitefield Academy are maintained in a timely manner and support school facility needs as requested.
- Work within budget guidelines and approval of the Director of Facilities when purchasing supplies or using resources, and report inventory needs to leadership.
- Assist with vendor or contractor access and support when on-site.
- Develop expertise in one or more areas (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc) over time to provide reduced reliance on vendors for repairs and projects as able and qualified.
- Serve on a rotation for on-call emergencies as a designated facilities team member.
- Respond quickly to facility needs, emergencies, or special cleaning requests at all campuses.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or other Executive Staff.

- Dedicated Worker. Job duties and other assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner with a high standard of excellence and with reduced supervision over time.
- Facilities Excellence. Facilities remain orderly, clean, and fully operational to support ministry and school functions. Unexpected facility issues are reported and addressed quickly, and daily operations run smoothly.
- Highview and Whitefield Support. A growing understanding of Highview and Whitefield’s procedures, culture, building systems, and expectations.

- Problem Solving. Able to identify issues, perform minor repairs, and escalate problems appropriately.
- Physical Capability. Able to life 50 lbs., climb ladders, move furniture, operate equipment, and work on feet for extended periods.
- Adaptability. Flexible in responding to changing facility needs, events, and schedules.

This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position under Highview's classification of facility staff. Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either the employee or employer at any time, with or without cause or notice, consistent with applicable law.
