We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to ensuring that students acquire the necessary skills to become safe and responsible drivers. This role involves both ZOOM instruction and behind-the-wheel training, providing a comprehensive educational experience for learners of all ages.
Duties
- Conduct ONLINE ZOOM sessions to educate students on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and vehicle operation.
- Provide hands-on driving instruction in various conditions to enhance students’ practical driving skills.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Assess student performance through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and completion of required training hours.
- Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education to ensure compliance and quality instruction.
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE CT DMV INSTRUCTOR LICENSE-- THIS IS NOT A NORMAL DRIVER'S LICENSE
- If you do not have a license we do have a paid 45 hour training program. Please inquire
- Strong preference for instructors located in Stamford, but any CT instructor will be considered for ZOOM teaching
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting; experience in adult education is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and instructions.
- Ability to manage a ZOOM classroom environment while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- A passion for educating others and helping them develop essential life skills through safe driving practices.
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching individuals from diverse backgrounds.
