We are seeking an Underwriter who has the capacity to be creative; taking the time to understand each customer’s unique needs while mitigating risk. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile where other banks might shy away.
Your mission?
To develop narratives that tell financial stories, based on a deep understanding of what can be learned from financial documents.
As an Underwriter, you will take the lead to spread and analyze financials, assemble loan presentations and provide ongoing risk mitigation through loan reviews and covenant testing. Working with relationship assistants, you'll ensure all necessary documents are collected, from tax returns to credit reports. Your role extends to liaising with the Chief Credit Officer to ensure adherence to loan policies and guidance. You will also assist the Chief Credit Officer in preparing reports for the bank board and bank examiners.
In this role, you'll never be bored. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. You'll develop a well-rounded skill set and gain invaluable experience in the financial industry.
What sets you apart?
You possess a unique blend of technical expertise and empathy, allowing you to not only understand the details of financial documents but also to connect with our customers on a human level. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with curiosity and eagerness to learn. In a role where attention to detail and quick thinking are key, your ability to handle pressure and stay organized makes you stand out. Whether your goal is to be an underwriter long-term, or pursue other opportunities for growth within the bank, we're here to support your professional development.
