What You’ll Do:

As the Regional Director for Northern California, you’ll have a chance to lead our regional expansion, create lasting partnerships, and inspire teams to deliver world-class services. Here’s what you’ll be doing:


Leadership & Strategy

  • Build a Thriving Region: Develop and execute a plan to establish HPA’s presence and lead our growth in Northern California and beyond. You'll be the cornerstone of building a team and a culture in this new region.
  • Inspire and Lead: As a leader at HPA, you will model our core values—Integrity, Caring, Driven, Resourceful, and Team Player. You’ll guide and motivate your team to achieve high levels of performance while embodying HPA’s mission.
  • Create Opportunities: Collaborate with Field Operations, Camps, Marketing, and Growth teams to identify innovative solutions that deliver top-tier programs and services to our partners.


Partnership Development & Community Building

  • Form Strategic Relationships: Build and nurture relationships with educational institutions, including school districts, charter schools, community schools, and universities. You will be the key point of contact for stakeholders, helping them understand the unique value HPA offers.
  • Expand and Retain Partnerships: Work diligently to secure and expand relationships, ensuring that HPA becomes a trusted partner to local schools, universities, and community organizations.
  • Innovate New Products: Lead the development of new programs and services that meet the evolving needs of our partners and the youth we serve. You’ll use market insights and customer feedback to ensure HPA remains at the forefront of youth development.


Operational Excellence & Culture

  • Ensure Quality: Work closely with HPA’s HQ and Field Operations team to ensure the quality and alignment of all programs and services in your region, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Create a Unified Culture: Foster a high-energy, collaborative culture that upholds HPA’s core values and ensures that the team remains engaged, supported, and motivated.
  • Represent HPA: Be the face of HPA at events, conferences, and public forums, advocating for our mission and raising awareness about our innovative programs.


What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a hands-on leader who is deeply committed to growth and community. Here are the key qualities we’re seeking:


  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A leader with a strong drive to build, grow, and expand in an emerging market. You’ll thrive on the challenge of creating something impactful from the ground up.
  • Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of experience leading teams in a relevant field (K-12 education, sports, youth development, or camps programming). You’ll be comfortable overseeing operations, mentoring teams, and driving results.
  • Strategic Thinker: You have a knack for identifying opportunities, creating strategies, and executing them to achieve long-term growth and success.
  • Passionate Advocate: You care deeply about youth development and the positive impact we can have on their lives. Your passion will inspire your team and build strong relationships with partners.
  • Customer-Focused: You excel in relationship-building, delivering top-notch customer support, and negotiating win-win agreements that benefit both HPA and its partners.
  • Data-Driven: Strong analytical abilities to inform decision-making, optimize operations, and refine strategies based on performance data.
  • Collaboration Champion: You know that success is a team effort. You’ll be able to work across departments and bring people together to achieve shared goals.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in sales, partnership development, or business development within the K-12 education or youth development space.
  • Experience managing accounts and partnerships valued at $2M or more (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the K-12 education landscape, including trends and best practices.
  • Proven track record of building and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to travel within the region, including occasional overnight trips.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $110,000–$122,000 based on experience, with performance-based bonuses.
