Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable, skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and light-commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. The ideal candidate takes pride in high-quality workmanship, communicates clearly with customers, and can work independently while representing our company’s professional standards.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, AC systems, and hydronics.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleanings, and efficiency tune-ups.
  • Install new HVAC equipment including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, mini-splits, humidifiers, thermostats, and controls.
  • Execute ductwork modifications, refrigerant charging, brazing, piping, and electrical connections.
  • Conduct start-ups, testing, commissioning, and system performance verification.
  • Document all work performed with clear, accurate job notes and photos.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and options to customers professionally.
  • Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean, organized condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures, building codes, and manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of HVAC service or installation experience (or equivalent technical training).
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification.
  • Clean, valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and outdoors.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, refrigerant, combustion, and airflow fundamentals.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals.
  • Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with modern heat pump systems, mini-splits, and inverter technology.
  • Familiarity with hydronics: boilers, circulators, controls, zoning, radiant systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability for both mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Knowledge of Manual J/S/D principles is a plus.
  • Ability to use digital tools: combustion analyzers, refrigerant scales, micron gauges, multimeters, etc.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with documentation.
  • Positive attitude, team-player mentality, and a commitment to craftsmanship.


Salary

$30 - $50 per hour
