Description

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Provider Communication: Maintain regular communication with insurance companies and medical providers to obtain necessary records and account balances. Negotiate outstanding medical balances with providers.

 

2. Document Collection: Gather and organize documents to support injury and liability positions.

 

3. Document Preparation: Assist in preparing legal documents related to personal injury cases, such as demand letters, settlement agreements, and court filings.

 

4. Case File Management: Organize and maintain detailed case files, ensuring all relevant documents and evidence are properly documented and easily accessible.

 

5. Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients, providing responsive assistance and maintaining communication records. Conduct bi-weekly courtesy calls to clients.

 

6. Medical Records: Coordinate and compile medical records, bills, and other essential documents for personal injury claims. Maintain communication with providers and clients throughout the treatment process.

 

7. Police Reports: Obtain and review police reports from accidents involving our clients.

 

8. Reports: Prepare weekly reports detailing the status of pending cases.

 

9. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information, case details, and legal strategies.

 

10. Organization: Ensure case files are organized and up to date.

 

Qualifications:

 

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or legal assistant certification preferred.

 

2. 2+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant, preferably in a personal injury law firm.

 

3. Prior experience as a case manager (3-4 years preferred)

 

4. Prior experience as an administrative assistant or receptionist (1 year preferred)

 

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.

 

6. Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective time management abilities.

 

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on compassionate client interactions and attention to detail.

 

8. Knowledge of personal injury case documentation and terminology.

 

9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

 

10. Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and confidentiality.

 

11. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
