Position Summary
The Community Ambassador Outreach Coordinator is a visible representative of Here Tomorrow responsible for increasing awareness, strengthening community relationships, providing education and training, and developing new partnerships and referral opportunities.
This role connects Here Tomorrow with businesses, healthcare organizations, schools, nonprofits, civic groups, first responders, and other community partners to expand access to Here Tomorrow's no-cost, no-wait peer support services.
Essential Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Awareness
- Represent and increase awareness of Here Tomorrow at community events, conferences, resource fairs, networking opportunities, and meetings.
- Conduct proactive outreach to businesses, healthcare organizations, schools, nonprofits, civic groups, and other community organizations.
- Support community awareness campaigns and special events.
- Ensure Here Tomorrow is represented professionally and consistently throughout the community.
Education & Training
- Deliver approved suicide prevention, mental health, and Here Tomorrow educational presentations and trainings.
- Coordinate training logistics, materials, attendance, evaluations, and follow-up.
- Adapt presentations for various audiences while maintaining fidelity to approved content.
- Promote available training and education opportunities to community partners.
Partnerships & Business Development
- Identify and develop relationships with prospective community and organizational partners.
- Conduct introductory meetings and presentations with potential partners.
- Build and maintain referral relationships that increase access to Here Tomorrow services.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, trainings, sponsorships, community initiatives, and other collaborations.
- Maintain relationships with existing partners and identify opportunities to expand engagement.
- Coordinate internal handoffs when opportunities involve peer services, fundraising, sponsorships, contracts, or other organizational initiatives.
Tracking & Accountability
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, trainings, contacts, partnerships, referrals, and follow-up activities.
- Manage a pipeline of prospective and active community relationships.
- Track outcomes including individuals reached, trainings delivered, new relationships, referral partners, partnerships developed, and referrals generated.
- Maintain accurate marketing materials through inventory and ordering.
- Provide regular activity and outcome reports to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public health, social services, business, education, psychology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience in community outreach, training, relationship development, business development, healthcare, nonprofit services, or a related area.
- Strong public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through.
- Comfortable initiating new relationships and representing Here Tomorrow with community and business leaders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in behavioral health, suicide prevention, healthcare, public health, or nonprofit services.
- Experience providing professional or community training.
- Experience in partnership, referral, or business development.
- Knowledge of Northeast Florida organizations and community resources.
- Experience using a CRM or relationship-management system.
